Year 2, Semester 2, 2011
Brief:
Although the original intention for the north-west shard was to create an initial point of attraction and entrance into the Federation Square precinct as well as a frame for the church, I propose replacing the current bastardize shard with a new ecology that mediates between the cultures of the city and the cultures fostered in Federation Square. Generally, Federation Square acts as a village square for Melbourne and attracts large crowds of both tourists and locals.
However, using a new morphology, the project seeks to create a new transition to the site and to attract a broader range of local people in order to foster new social ecologies in Federation Square. Like mushrooms, the new intervention feeds off existing programs in the bulbs while echoing the ecology of Melbourne's laneways at the stems.
AU NEXUS
Roles: Rhino, V-Ray, CS5
Year: 2011
Brief:
This project was a proposal for the ECHIGO-TSUMARI ART FIELD international design competition. It was a group project where we were required to design an Australian house on a site in Japan for visting artists to work and live within. Unfolding from the surrounding landscape, AU Nexus creates an iconic peak sheltering nested layers of diverse experiences. The new nexus creates a dynamic meeting point facilitating the interconnection of Australian and Japanese arts and cultures.

Year 1, Semester 2, 2010
Brief:
This was a design technique exercise where we were assigned a current building, Sejima Wing - Kitagata Apartments, and from the floor plans we had to 3D model and re-construct the entire building. Through a series of landscape panels the project explored how to graphically represent a project.
Brief:
This project involved the task of designing a residential apartment complex that accommodated students, couples and elderly people. The site was located on Lt Oxford and Peel St in Collingwood. Year 1, Semester 1, 2010
Brief:
The aim for this project was to design a small building that would bridge the void between two Monash University Buildings located on Level 2. Furthermore the space must incorporate a library / resource room that is functional and easily accessible to architecture students. The main idea behind the concept was to utilize cables to suspend the entire space. The structure of the building is made up of interlocking steel rings which span across the whole bridge space. The curved forms of the shells act as stairs for access to the lower level of the space and are also intended to be used for seats and lounges as a reading area.
